Step 1: Submit an Application

Applications for admission may be made at any time of year, however, as some grade levels may be at full capacity, early application is encouraged. Prospective families are advised for the following procedure for their children to be considered for admission at ISP:

A completed application form must be submitted by mail, email or in person and must be accompanied by the following items:

  • A color photo of your child (1” x 1.5”)
  • An English translated copy of report cards from the last two years (for applicants over 5 years of age only)
  • Application fee

Step 2: Application Review

Once received, the application is reviewed, taking into consideration the school’s admissions criteria, which include:

  • Class size
  • Proficiency in the English language
  • Previous academic record
  • Previous international school experience

The family may then be contacted to visit the school to discuss placement assessment testing and to complete the application process.

The type of assessment given will depend on the grade level applied to and is used to help us determine how a child will cope with the transition into the new classroom environment. Kindergarten students will be assessed during classroom observation. Primary year students will receive a written and in-person assessment with a member of the academic staff and secondary school students will sit a written test and undergo an interview with a member of the academic staff.

Families will be notified about the admissions outcome after review of the assessment test results and consideration of the admissions criteria. The outcome will be an acceptance, a conditional acceptance or a non-acceptance. Once a place has been offered, the family will be given a specific time by which to confirm acceptance in writing in order to ensure a seat for the prospective student.

If the placement is not possible at the time due to the lack of spaces in the appropriate class then the child will be put on the waiting list. The family will be contacted as soon as the space will be available.

Step 3: Registration

Once a family has confirmed acceptance, ISP will require the following items to complete the registration process and to ensure a seat for the prospective student:

  • Copy of child’s insurance
  • Deposit, endowment fee and appropriate school fee, and books fees for children over 4 years of age, library fees for children over 5 years of age and stationary fees of 1,000 baht per term
